I'm not the best with critiques, so I'll give you what I've got.
I love the posture and the camera position. Derpy's chest is backed up close to her chin which shows her discomfort and will to hide herself or lock up in hopes of being safe. The closeness of her forelegs to her sides show this as well, and it's been known that having a tight posture can both express and further increase one's discomfort and lack of confidence. She could either be hanging them limply, which would mean a sense of defeat, or they are pressed up to her sides, which could mean she is trying to feel safe.
The overall design is phenomenal; I could tell it was Derpy just by the thumbnail, and an up close view shows lots of care and effort were put forth. I like how the crosshatching (that's the correct term, right?) works to make a clear shadow under certain places. And it keeps a consistent direction depending on which part of the body it's on, which I think is nice. The tears are wonderfully done with her expression to show her feelings. I'm not sure what to say about the unfurled wings as far as effect (though it certainly adds to the whole feel of the art), but the design itself is very majestic. The title placement is well done. I think that putting it near her face makes it work both as a description and possibly as her thoughts/words.

I'm very grateful to have had the privilege of seeing and critiquing this. Keep being awesome.
